Patients may also purchase pocket talkers, hearing aid batteries, hearing aid parts and cleaning necessities.
Dr. Horne listens to me and explains everything she is doing so that I understand what’s going on. She fits each person according to their needs and doesn’t force sell. And great service after purchase.

Rachel is one of the best audiologists I’ve been to. She sets very high standards for herself and genuinely wants to make sure you are hearing as well as possible when you walk out of her office. I highly recommend her!

Here are some of the most common questions people have about hearing health.
OTC models range from basic to advanced.
Basic models can be purchased for $100-$200 and include a simple amplifier that turns up and down, amplifying all sounds.
More advanced, self adjusting OTC models range from $800-$1300 and are made for more digital self adjusting of the sound with your cell phone.
VS Prescribed Hearing aids are fit according to a diagnostic hearing exam and then adjusted to the individual’s specific hearing loss needs. Prescription models can be fine tuned to the individual’s subjective interpretation of the sound, along with cell phone self adjusting as well.
Prescription level Hearing Aids range from $2500-$4600 for a PAIR depending on the needs and amount of background noise reduction a patient desires/needs. OTCs are a purchase and can be returned up to 60 days, and prescription hearing aids can be tried for 30 days for free before purchase.
Some insurances cover hearing aids or a portion of hearing aids. Dr. Horne is a provider for almost all insurances, and we can call to find out your specific policy’s coverage on hearing aids.Â
Medicare does not currently cover hearing aids for the treatment of hearing loss. However, some Medicare supplemental plans do provide some coverage for hearing aids. Some insurance carriers will require a denial from Medicare before a benefit can be eligible. At Horne Hearing Center, we do all of the work for you to determine if there is a hearing aid benefit available to you.
Some hearing protection devices are marked red (right) and blue (left). If they are not marked, it means they are not side-specific.

My name is Dr. Rachel Horne, AuD. I opened Horne Hearing Center the fall of 2022 with the hope of bringing the best possible hearing healthcare to the River Valley.
I have been taking care of patients’ hearing needs for more than 12 years, 10 of those in the River Valley. My passion is helping people get back to life by hearing better.
My husband, Stephen, and I moved from Florida to Russellville 10 years ago, and we have absolutely fallen in love with the people and community.
My parents live in Hot Springs and it has been wonderful to be so close to family. My husband and I have two beautiful children, Reese and Alton. They have brought us more joy and excitement than we could have imagined. We have two rescue dogs, Sophie and Birdie, who complete our little family.
This community is where we want to invest and raise our children. I am thankful to have my private practice in the community where we live, love, and serve.
Please get in touch with us if you need to schedule an appointment. Current and new patients are welcome.
